Sing with AVM
Interested singers are invited to attend an open rehearsal. An audition is required to join, but vocal training is not essential. Basic musicianship, a good musical ear, and a dedication and love for the choral classics is a must, however.
AVM presents three concerts a year: Fall, Winter, Spring. Open rehearsals are held at the start of preparation for each concert. Open rehearsal dates for the 2007-2008 season are:
For the November 10 and 11 concerts (same program): August 27, September 4 (Tuesday), Septermber 10
For the March 8 and 9 concerts (same program): November 19, November 26
For the May 10 concert: March 17, March 24
Rehearsals are held on Monday nights from 7:30 to 9:45 pm in the Class of 1945 Hall in the Center for the Arts at St. Mark's School , 25 Marlborough Road, Southborough . Labor Day is the only Monday Holiday on which no rehearsal is held.
In addition, come to our Messiah Sing at Trinity Church, Northborough, which is open to everyone who wants to sing or listen to us before deciding to join. (A $5 donation is suggested at the door.)
