Ben Rutan is currently a freshman at Algonquin Regional High School. Earlier this year, Ben sang at the Central District Festival and, in a week, he will be participating in the All-State Choral Festival at Symphony Hall in Boston. At Algonquin, he is in the Freshman Choir, the A-gents (an all-male singing group), and is in the production of Guys and Dolls.
He also plays the saxophone in the Freshman Band and Jazz Ensemble 2. In middle school, Ben also participated in Districts in 7th and 8th grade and had a lead role in Willy Wonka Junior. Outside of school, Ben enjoys singing in the Saint Bernadette's contemporary choir. He also studies privately with Mrs. Katherine Waters.
