A native of Holliston, MA, Lydia Rajunas, Soprano is honored to be singing with the Assabet Valley Mastersingers. In addition to Handel's Messiah, Lydia's extensive experience in concert and oratorio repertoire includes Mozart's Exultate, Jubilate as well as the Mozart and Faure Requiems, Haydn's Salve Regina and Stabat Mater, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana and the world premiere of Julian Wachner's Regina Coeli, which was commissioned for her and St. Mary's Church in Holliston. Her opera performances include Gretel in Hansel and Gretel with both Commonwealth Opera and Salisbury Lyric Opera, Gilda in Rigoletto with Longwood Opera, and the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute with Surry Opera in Maine. Lydia just finished 7 years on the national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera where she sang in the chorus and understudied Carlotta. She is now "the singing realtor" as she works for Remax Executive Realty in Holliston and lives in Northbridge, MA with her husband Wayne Duncan.
